The No. 3 seeds recorded five aces en-route to their semifinal victory, and now own a 20-11 record on the year as a team. Dodig and Melo rode the momentum of Friday’s huge quarter-final match versus Finaland’s Henri Kontinen and John Peers of Australia, which saw them rebound after dropping the first set.
Dodig and Melo now await the winner of the day’s other semifinal faceoff between Canada’s Daniel Nestor and Vasek Pospisil versus Great Britain’s Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares of Brazil.
